Here is a letter I received from a former Mormon:

"I was an active member of the Mo rmon Church for over 3 years. During  that time I advanced through the Aaronic and Melchisedek Priesthoods, and I (and my wife) have been to both the Salt Lake and Ogden Temples . During my initiation into the Mormon faith, I was told very few details of their belief system and history. This is why Mormon Missionaries are so successful.  

It wasn't until I was really into deep study of Mormon Doctrine that I actually understood many of their 'higher' beliefs including; Trillions of gods (and Jesus and God are two separate beings), multiple heavens, that only Mormons are 'TRUE' Christians, Plan of Eternal Perfection to earn your own Godhood, that God was once a man, Baptism for the Dead, Wearing of 'Protective' undergarments, Jesus and Satan are BROTHERS, Masonic Temple ceremonies and chants, Massive changes made to the Book of Mormon (supposedly a 'perfect' scripture) and much, much more.  

It wasn't until a couple of years into the LDS Church that I REALLY understood their History, including: Polygamy (and that thousands continue the practice and that Mormons expect the practice to resume in the Millennial era), Blood Atonement, God-Adam Theory, Mountain Meadows Massacre, Burning and Destroying of Property, Bank Fraud, Peeper-Stone conviction, Missouri IS Zion and WAS the Garden of Eden, and much, much more.  

The Mormon Church is relatively young, and yet is has done an incredible job at glossing over its History. The LDS Church spends MEGA-DOLLARS on its image/sales techniques. If the LDS Church were honest, if it would admit the mistakes of its past and if it would represent itself PROPERLY and HONESTLY to the public and to those 'LOOKING.' We wouldn't even need [to debate the issue]."  

What man can tell another what religion is the right religion? In the 14th Chapter of John, verse 6 (John 12:6) we are told this statement by Jesus, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father by by me.'  

In Ephesians Chapter 2, verses 8-10 (Eph. 2:8-10) We are told that our Salvation is a GIFT from God. In many areas of the Bible (especially the 10 Commandments) we are told there is only ONE (1) God and we are to have none other.  

All of these are characteristics of a Christian religion that presents itself as the only way to heaven: Salvation through faith in Jesus Christ who is part of the one Almighty Triune God. So why argue? Three reasons:

1) Mormonism presents itself to 'seekers/investigators' falsely as a Christian denomination. It is not. It is pagan with pagan practices. I Know. I've BEEN THERE and participated. (The REAL Irony is that, in the LDS Book Mo rmon Doctrine they claim that a person can only be saved through the teachings of the Charlatan Joseph Smith because the LDS faith is the only 'TRUE' Christian Faith and all others are 'PERVERTED.'

2) The Book of Mormon and other 'Scriptures' of the Mormon Church are expressly forbidden in the Bible. (Galatians 1:6-9). Those who are lured into Mo rmonism by their false presentations will also be accursed (anathema). How can a kind and loving person allow this to happen?

3) We are told in the Bible that this time of False Prophets and False Scriptures would come. We are also admonished what to do (2 Tim 4:1-5). It is our DUTY as Christians to 'reprove, rebuke, and exhort with all longsuffering;' their False Teachings.  

What does it matter what is 'heart-felt' if it is leading them (and OTHERS) to hell? We choose to put on the Full Armour of God (Eph. 6:11 ) and confront the slick-Madison Avenue Image that Mormons are presenting to poor unsuspecting 'seekers.' But, don't ask us to be spiritual couch-potatoes who would be willing to ignore anything and everything in the name of 'Religion.' God's Blessings of Truth to ALL."

What an amazing letter! Truth is such an important word here. In the Bible, which unlike what Mormonism reports, is the ONLY gospel of Jesus Christ; we know that Jesus is TRUTH. John 4:24 God is a Spirit and they that worship Him MUST worship Him in Spirit and in TRUTH.  

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I AM THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE... Jesus is TRUTH.  

If there is an organization that is not telling the TRUTH, then this organization can not possibly be from GOD. The Mo rmon Church lies about the Bible, and lies throughout its doctrine. The Mormon Church claims that the Book of Mo rmon is another gospel of Jesus Christ. This is impossible because the Bible tells us there is NO OTHER GOSPEL of Jesus Christ. If anyone tries to preach another gospel THEY ARE ACCURSED. The Bible doesn't just record this ONCE, it records this TWICE in the same chapter! See Galations Chapter 1.  

The LDS Church also claims that God the Father (Elohim according to Mormondom), Jesus Christ (Jehovah -- as Mormon doctrine refers to him) and the Holy Spirit (a mysterious form to LDS) are all GODS. How can this possibly be a TRUE Christian belief system when the Bible tells us over and over and over THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD? Historically, Orthodox Christianity has always believed in ONE God and it is still true today! Christians do not believe in multiple gods, nor do they believe they can BECOME gods as Mormons believe.  

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Jesus Christ is our L Lord and He is not attempting to "attain" godhood as Mormons believe. HE IS LORD GOD forever has been and forever will be. He is a physical manifestation of the ONE Triune God. This God is three in ONE. There is no argument that any LDS can use to change the TRUTH of what Christians believe. Since their teachings are completely in contradiction with the Bible and with what Christians believe, this organization can not be Christian. Do not be fooled by the façade of this religious ruse. Mormonism is not Christian!

I am writing due to the lack of response of other EDUCATING ministries on the Mormon cult.  It seems the silence and evasive answers are too much for me...everything is such a secret and I'm tired of this behavior. 

I got on the Mormonism Ministries Web which was supposed to be anti-Mormon and all I could get was answers from active Mormons calling me a liar about my experiences with the Mormons in Arizona and in Oregon.   I also know Cissco Wheeler, Fritz Springmeir and Mark Phillips and Cathy O'Brien......all who speak and write about the Mormon cult and mind control. 

I would like to share this with you as for many years now the Mormons have seemed to plague my life, my children and our existence.   My own son ( in the Air Force almost 21 now) was first lured by his Mormon teacher in high school and a girl whom I believe was "ordered to bring him in through seduction and lies."  After they were engaged and he was baptized Mormon and basically pulled from our family and all his friends and even surrounded on the AFB itself, this girl dropped my son with no explanation two months prior to a wedding.  The church referred him to seek another female and go to the church near the base and continue tithes least he not be doing gods command. 

It is a long story that really began with an awakening when I single parented four small children in ___, AZ. and the church came to my (rescue) consuming me and my energy and using everything to get me pulled in.  As my baby girl was being baby-sat while I worked by a Mormon mom ( of about eleven children) I met up with her elder husband at a school event.  He was drunk.   My daughter was also showing signs of sexual abuse.   I quit work and didn't tell them why.  

One Sunday in 1987 I attended the church service where all the children were removed and doors locked and guarded.  A group of well dressed men and some police officers were in front and said they were addressing the AZ. valley area wards as "they could no loner contain" the reports of child sexual involvement and abuses anymore"  NOT STOP -- CONTAIN!!! 

Being a single parent and going to court there I began to research how many Mormons were police officers, judges, attorneys ( three were the leaders in this church alone) and so on.  the head of the Conciliation Courts in Maricopa County family unite Barbara Evans was the head in this department......a cold and ruthless women with little integrity but social savvy,  like some of the female Brigham Young grads/lawyers....they were always defending the abusers and perpetrators.  One lawyer ( named Dee Ann Gillespie from Brigham was called :"the witch from hell" by other attorneys and even private detectives wouldn't take a case if it involved her.  One attorney literally told me he felt she was seriously mentally ill and if anyone stepped in her way she would have them destroyed including other lawyers.  Where does a Mormon girl like Dee Ann or Barbara in a submissive cult like Mormonism that supports polygamy and incest get such powerful and aggressive females like this?  Like female Nazis!

 
Ever since I moved from that home in Arizona and continued my life it seems they have sought me out even through my children.  I even had a three year court battle against with my abusive ex almost losing my children and I know the Mormons were involved.   I.E. -- Mormon judge, attorneys, Conciliation....all there. I lost my home, arrears of support and much more.  [I am haunted] even by seemingly simple innocent things like my 17 yr. old daughter always being asked to dances by MORMON BOYS.

 
I recently [heard] a John Birch leader speak to us about membership.  The two leaders in our area are both Mormon and I mentioned this to him.  I wanted to know how LDS SUPPORT THE UN and can be JB at the same time.  He wasn't aware of this and said they had many Mormons in birch. 
I asked if he was aware of the corporate status and wealth. --- ownership of major food chains and food products......adoption agencies, etc............. 
but they all play dumb on these facts.  I would like to speak to someone even if it is just for validation of what we have been through.  Thanks.

Below is a sample of the type of letters I receive from some angry letter writers. I wanted to post my answer to this particular letter because many of the things I am accused of are repeated by other letter writers. I answer each letter (if it is not vile or profane) and will continue to do so -- however, I thought this could be a valuable reference at this site for informational purposes. The letter written to me is shown as it appeared in my e-mail box. No editing has taken place.  My answers are in red.

Dear Ms. Carol Van Drie,

I am sorry that you are have such harsh fealings (sic) toward this religeon (sic) as to bash it as harshly as you have. I am interested as to the reference where in the material that you present as truthful was found. Infact (sic) I read your article and found it to be an extreemly (sic) unfounded and twisted look on this faith. Mormon is the nick name and the name of the church is The Church Of JESUS Christ Of Latter Day Saints. In the name alone it is saying out right that it is a church that goes by his teachings.

Answer: Jim Jones called himself a Christian prophet -- it takes far more than a label to BE a Christian. It takes far more than a name for an organization to BE Christian. Don't forget, the Mormon church claims itself to be THE only "true" Christian organization. This alone is a lie. As a Christian, it is my DUTY to stand up for the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to expose the liars about my faith. 2 John 1, Contending for the faith: Jude 1

The technical reasoning behind not being christian is that the church does not believe that God, Jesus and The Holy Ghost are all the same person, but three separate identities. Three being that work together for the same purpose but are not all three the same person in one body.

Answer: I really have no idea what you mean by the "technical reason." You seem to be gravely misinformed. Granted, one main reason the Mormon Church can't possibly be Christian is because they claim there are three gods -- God the Father -- Elohim, Jesus Christ -- Jehovah and the Holy Ghost. The Jesus of the Mormon Church is not the same Jesus Christ Christians worship nor is this the same Jesus Christians know to be the Jesus of the Bible. There is no comparison between the Mormon Jesus and the Christian Jesus.

If I were to tell you I passionately and most seriously worship Jesus Christ as my Savior -- you would assume I was a Christian. Would you still assume this if I told you I believed Jesus Christ to be Louis Farakkhan who has in fact claimed to be "Elijah" which he refers to as Jesus Christ. He claims that the Jesus of "History" is just that, an historical person foretelling of Louis Farakkhan. I could name my organization "The Church of Jesus Christ of the true Jesus," but my organization would no more be Christian than Jim Jones group was. A label is worthless. BEING a Christian takes FAR more than just calling yourself one.

I wanted to point out to you that the Mormon belief in three gods as opposed to the Christian faith that knows there is only ONE God is merely one reason why Mormonism couldn't possibly be Christian.

You obviously didn't actually follow any of the links on my web page. You've jumped to a number of conclusions that are truly ignorant as it is obvious you know little about Christianity and little of the Mormon Church.

Mormons believe not only that there are three gods that make up the "godhead," but they believe they themselves can become gods someday if they partake in an occult ceremony known as the Mormon Temple Ceremony. If a Mormon man marries a Mormon woman only AFTER they pay a tithe of 10% minimum of their income, then and only then can a Mormon couple reach Mormon heaven. This "heaven" is the progression to becoming gods. This married god-couple will not only become gods, but they will rule over their own planet like earth. The Mormon goddess will be eternally pregnant eternally giving birth as this is the way Mormons believe they can populate this planet. Thus -- Mormons believe something utterly blasphemous and totally NON Christian as all Christians know there can be ONLY one God.

Christians don't baptize for the dead, Mormons do.

Christians do not partake in a ceremony filled with occultist symbols, Masonic oaths and occult rituals. Mormons do -- it's called the Mormon Temple Ceremony.

Above are just a FEW of the reasons why Mormonism couldn't in its wildest dreams actually be Christian.

If you would truthfully look at what you have posted you would find your self repeating history. As Jesus said to Saul on the road to Damascus, "Why does thou persecute me". As you are persecuting the mormons the way that king Saul persecuted the christians in biblical times.

Answer: Actually, the opposite is true -- it is the Mormon church that persecutes my faith. First of all, my faith is centuries older than Mormonism. Mormonism was founded in the late 1800's. Then it calls my faith -- Protestant -- just a part of the "whore" they call the Catholic Church. Secondly -- until about a decade ago -- the Mormon leadership has always hated Christianity and said evil things about my faith wanting nothing to do with "becoming" Christian -- you need to check your Mormon history on that as this is true. Lastly -- to this day -- Mormons and Mormon leadership LIES about my faith. It claims that IT is the only true Christian church. This is a lie. I have never ever lied about their church or their beliefs. I have never claimed anything but the truth. The Mormon church lies about the Christian God, lies about the Bible -- calling it unreliable and missing parts, the Mormon Church lies about my Savior -- saying he had a wife -- and it lies about so many things that it took my whole web site and thousands of web sites like mine to expose all the lies it tells of MY FAITH.

I persecute absolutely no one. It is the Mormon church that began the persecution when it came along in the late 1800's and lied about Christians and our faith.

Please research what you speak of before you make accusations you obviously know little about. You don't know of Christianity and the core beliefs it has held for centuries and you obviously know little of the Mormon cult you so vehemently defend. Take the time to educate yourself -- go back to my web site -- follow the links -- find out the TRUTH because it certainly doesn't lie within the Mormon church!

I hope that you have a revelation in your heart and realize the truth about the church and change your own attitude from one as Saul to one as Paul the apostle. I trust as you search the scriptures and pray tonight you will find the cure to the poison that has found it's way to your heart. The revelation I received is through Jesus Christ. This revelation can not be had through any organization and it certainly can't be found through the Mormon Church. I know the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ because I know His Word to be true, flawless, eternal and for His believers. I know that Mormonism lies about the gospel of Jesus Christ and lies about my Savior -- I try to expose those lies to help prevent people from joining this very evil organization that is deceptively bathed in light.
