We welcome parents who want to bring their babies or young children to church for a service of blessing. This is not a baptism or christening, but a service of thanksgiving and dedication. We do not use water, but we do say a prayer of blessing for the children and promise to pray for and support the parents. more>>
Believer's baptism
This is a special service for adults or young people who have made a personal commitment of faith in Jesus and wish to declare this publicly. We follow the practice of our forebears in baptising "by full immersion". This is why they and we are called Baptists. more>>
Weddings
If a couple have decided that they wish to be married in church and are sincere about the importance of the step they are taking, then they will be welcomed by the church. God's love and blessing is for everyone, including those who have been divorced. more>>
Funerals
We are pleased to offer to families and friends who are bereaved a
service of celebration and committal in the church, prior to a burial
or cremation, whether they have a previous connection with the church
or not.
