Rev Andy Jones became the minister of Attleborough Baptist Church in September 2006.
Andy came to Attleborough straight from Northern Bible College at Manchester, where he trained for the ministry after helping voluntarily as a lay pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Coalville, Leicestershire.
Before entering the ministry he was first of all a second-hand bookseller and then worked for 15 years in local government.
He served as Overseas Students Secretary in the Christian Union at Lancaster University in the 1980's,
and since then has worshipped and served in various capacities at St Thomas', Lancaster and the Baptist Churches
at Addlestone in Surrey and Ashby de la Zouch in Leicestershire. He claims to be the only church organist ever
to get a round of applause for finishing!
He’s glad to be part of the church family at Attleborough because they’re a small and friendly crowd who want to make people feel welcome and cared for, who want to find ways of making a difference in the local community and who are ready to contemplate doing something new with God’s help.
